25th Board Meeting of Lucknow Smart City Limited Concludes; Key Urban Development Projects Reviewed

Lucknow | The 25th Board Meeting of Lucknow Smart City Limited (LSCL) was held  at the Smart City office, where significant discussions took place on various urban development initiatives aimed at strengthening city infrastructure and improving citizen services.

The meeting was chaired by Divisional Commissioner and LSCL Chairman  Vijay Vishwas Pant. Among those present were Municipal Commissioner and CEO  Gaurav Kumar, Additional CEO  Lalit Kumar, Additional District Magistrate (T.G.)  R.K. Mittal, along with the Chief Finance Officer, General Manager, Company Secretary, and other senior officials and board members.

At the outset, board members welcomed the newly appointed Chairman,  Vijay Vishwas Pant. The proceedings of the 24th Board Meeting were confirmed, and the follow-up actions taken on decisions from the previous meeting were reviewed.

The meeting featured an extensive discussion on multiple ongoing and proposed projects under Lucknow Smart City. One of the major agenda items was the operation and maintenance of Health ATMs, which provide accessible healthcare services to citizens. The Board directed officials to evaluate the effectiveness, usability, and maintenance quality of these Health ATMs and to present a detailed report to ensure that residents continue to receive efficient and reliable health facilities.

Another important item on the agenda was the proposal for the establishment of a Divyang Park (Specially-Abled Park) at CG City. The Board decided to form a technical committee to assess the project’s technical feasibility and provide recommendations. Upon receiving technical clearance, the proposal will be presented to the Board for final approval.

The meeting also included a special review of revenue generation from Smart City projects, such as U.P. Darshan Park, Happiness Park, Musical Fountain, and Janeshwar Mishra Park. Chairman Pant emphasized the need for systematic efforts to increase regular income from these projects and to enhance monitoring mechanisms for better financial sustainability.

He further stated that the initiatives under Lucknow Smart City are not only aimed at improving civic amenities but also at making these projects self-sustaining, so that they can contribute to their own maintenance and future development.

Concluding the meeting, CEO  Gaurav Kumar highlighted that all Smart City projects are moving forward with a focus on making Lucknow a modern, convenient, and sustainable urban center. He assured that, as per the Board’s directives, all departments will submit timely reports related to project operation, maintenance, and revenue generation to ensure effective implementation and long-term success.
